DMX Effects are sequences of values and/or states which are made up of a series of steps. This is commonly used to create lighting animations.
- Adding - click 'Add effect' to create a new effect.
- Renaming - click the name of the effect to rename it.
- Preview
- Controls - to the right of the name, you have play and stop functions to preview your effect. This will change the current values of any hardware connected to chosen channels.
- Loop - choose whether to loop your effect or not.
- Steps
- Adding - click Add step to create a new step.
- Add values - add DMX channel values to the step. Choose the value between 0 - 255. You can add as many values as you like to create a state.
- Fade - the channel values of each step can be chosen to fade in a chosen number of seconds from the last step (or in the case of the first step, to fade from whatever values those DMX channels were previously at).
- Linear - the fade will change directly from one value to the other.
- Ease in - the fade will ramp up slowly at the beginning.
- Ease out - the fade will ramp down slowly at the end.
- Ease in/out - the fade will ramp up slowly at the beginning and ramp down slowly at the end.
- Deleting
- Delete effects by clicking the 3 dots to the right of the name & then the bin icon.
- Delete steps by clicking the 3 dots to the right of the fade & then the bin icon.
- Delete values by clicking the bin icon to the right of the value name.
